Chris Berry
VP & General Manager, Context Labs
Chris Berry is the VP and General Manager of the Context Labs Environmental Attribute Registry, a platform that uses data and technology to create high quality, transparent, quantitative environmental assets. In this role, Chris oversees product development, market positioning, partnerships, and customer delivery. Prior to joining Context Labs in November 2021, Chris had a decade-long tenure at State Street Corporation in a variety of roles including technology audit and financial modeling prior to leading the ESG Product team. In this capacity, he oversaw platform and analytics development in addition to managing State Street’s annual corporate purchase of environmental attributes to advance the company’s emission reduction targets. He represented State Street on the UN Environmental Programme Finance Initiative, the Greentown Labs advisory board, and he was the co-founder of the State Street Environmental Sustainability Employee Network.
Chris holds the SASB Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bates College. Chris grew up in Maine, and now lives just north of Boston with his wife and rescue dog.
