Cindy McLaughlin

Head of Product, CarbonBuilt
Cindy joined CarbonBuilt in 2021 as Head of Product. She's responsible for end-user awareness, carbon monetization, and policy. Prior to joining CarbonBuilt, Cindy started and led technology companies across a range of industries, from prison education to commercial real estate. She currently co-Chairs the Urban Land Institute's Tech and Innovation Council in NYC; serves on the Editorial Board of Propmodo; and advises sustainability startups. She has an MBA from MIT/Sloan, served as a water/sanitation volunteer in Peace Corps Congo, and lives in Brooklyn.
CarbonBuilt's Carbon XPRIZE-winning technology enables the production of ultra-low carbon concrete products -- reducing their embodied carbon by 70% to over 100%. We do this without compromising product price, performance, or the operations of the plants we retrofit.

MIT Land Acknowledgement
The stolen land on which MIT sits is the traditional unceded territory of the Massachusett Tribe, and our forced occupation extends to the lands of other tribal nations as well. We acknowledge the enduring relationship that exists between these sovereign nations and their traditional territories. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide within these territories.
